Bombora is passionate about ensuring the holistic development of its projects, to maximise the benefit for both its stakeholders and community.
Our company is built on a foundation of providing clean renewable electricity to the community in a way that will provide benefit for generations to come.
We believe in comprehensive environmental planning, heritage protection and community engagement. We strive to mitigate environmental impact whilst pursing symbiotic integration within our environment. As surfers ourselves, our approach to our environmental impact addresses all principles within the Surfrider Foundation’s policy on renewable ocean energy.
Our company is named after an aboriginal word “bombora” meaning an area of large sea waves breaking over a shallow reef some distance from the shore.
Bombora is proudly situated on Whadjuk Noongar country and recognises the Noongar people as the traditional custodians of this land.
